Former South African boxing amateur star Amzolele “Globe” Dyeyi has impressed his handlers with an outstanding performance against Bagcina Gowa at the Guild Theatre in East London recently.

The brightest prospect joined NO DOUBT Management early this year and Gowa bout was his debut under his new management. Both the fighter and his handlers were happy about the performance.

An elated youngster said: “It was a great performance. I thought I was professional and calm in my approach. I felt less pressure to perform than in the past,” said a smiling and happy Dyeyi.

If you love the pure science of boxing, then Dyeyi, who dropped Gowa in the second round with a hard, flush jab from his southpaw position, is worth watching.

He swept all four rounds with great boxing skills and IQ.

His trainer Shannon Strydom also pleased with his charge’s performance. “Yeah, I thought it was a good 10/10 performance. I’ve only been working with him for two months. I’m excited for the future,” said Strydom.

Manager Colin “Nomakanjani” Nathan was impressed with Dyeyi and felt that “he is still young and has time on his side to improve.”

With this win this afternoon, Dyeyi’s professional record improves to 4-0 with 2 KO.

The southpaw Dyeyi was an outstanding amateur and has a promising future ahead.
